Bernard FQX Actuator

​The Bernard Controls FQX actuator is a quarter-turn, spring-return (fail-safe) electric actuator designed to automatically move valves to a predefined safe position—either open or closed—in the event of power loss. Key features include:​

· Torque Range: Offers torque outputs from 354-4425 in-lbs, accommodating various valve requirements. ​ 

· Fail-Safe Operation: Utilizes a mechanical spring-return mechanism to ensure automatic valve positioning without external power, enhancing system safety and reliability. ​ 

· Control Options: Available with electromechanical SWITCH controls or integrated control boxes like INTEGRAL+ and POSIGAM+, providing flexibility in control configurations. ​ 

· Duty and Modulating Classification: Suitable for various operations, including On-Off (Class A), Inching/Positioning (Class B), and Modulating (Class III), complying with EN15714-2 standards. ​ 

· Environmental Protection: Features an IP67-rated enclosure, ensuring protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for harsh environments. ​

· Explosion-Proof Versions: Certified for use in explosive atmospheres, meeting ATEX and NEC500 standards, thereby extending applicability to hazardous locations. ​ 

· Manual Override: Equipped with a manual override mechanism, allowing manual valve operation during power outages or emergencies. ​
